Low voltage regulator rectifier

Controls voltage in Harley-Davidson and Buell alternators; unlike other rectifiers or regulators that discharge and cause maximum stator current and higher temperatures.
Cycle regulators/rectifiers block current until control voltage is reached
This reduces stator current, resulting in lower temperature and less friction in the engine, which translates to more efficient operation.
Low voltage style has lower charging voltage to prevent battery overcharging
