TRANSMISSION GEARS AND SHAFTS 1991-2005 SPORTSTER

Andrews manufacture gears and shafts as a direct replacement for the thick gears used in the 1991-1995 American Domestic Sportster and 1991-1993 HDI International Export Sportster European models for the European market.
 
First gear ratio: Only available as a Close Ratio set for models 1991-2003. These gears add 7 mph (slightly over 11 km/h), consequently closing the large gap between the first and second gear ratios. Sorry, to date there are no gears for models 2004-2005.
 
Second, third, fourth and fifth gear: When you have to replace one of them on a 1996-2005 American Domester Sportster, 1994-2005 HDI Sportster or any Buell model, you must replace both gears on the mainshaft. This is because stock gears are the late-style high-contact type and all replacement gears are the early-style thick type. Sorry, to date there are no gears for 2004-2005 models.
