S&S VARIABLE INJECTION MODULE - 58 mm

A true tune-up for fuel-injected engines. For many years, riders with carburetted engines have had the luxury of proper tuning. By changing the carburettor jet they could improve their engines for maximum performance and compensate for engine modifications. Fuel injection, however, has presented a tuning obstacle for riders wishing to make changes to their engines. With the original injection module, even a minor change such as fitting a different exhaust system can cause engine damage. S&S's variable fuel injection module provides the ability to tune the injection and ignition systems to increase the performance of any fuel-injected engine. The S&S system will give excellent results on stock engines; flexibility in tuning is essential when the engine has been modified. Engine changes such as cams, exhaust pipes, cylinders, increased displacement, etc. require changes to the fuel-injection maps. The S&S VFI module allows the tuner to realise the full benefits of engine modifications through correct tuning. Repeated tuning with the S&S module will result in improved starting, better drivability and more power.
 
 S&S VFI variable injection module contains:
 •Easy installation-The module replaces the original unit and spark plugs with the original wiring.
 •Easy programming - existing S&S curves can be loaded by anyone with a PC.
 •Flexible - The curves can be easily optimised to accommodate variations in individual engines. Mounting material included with the module.
 • Altitude compensated-Automatic adjustments for altitude variations.
 •Live adjustments - Make changes to the maps while your engine is running.
 •Self-diagnostic and actuator test functions.
 •The engine light can be programmed to function as a gear indicator light.
 •Unlimited programmability. The ProTuner II software, available separately, allows the creation of curves for custom engines for which S&S does not have a curve.
 •Dual closed-circuit capacity when used with original O2 sensors or the S&S closed-circuit sensor kit
 •Engine overheating protection
 •Manual tuning requires ProTune II software in combination with an eddy current or steady-state dynamometer and an exhaust gas analyser or an air/fuel ratio meter
