In many indicator configurations, the actual turn signal is poorly visible because the brightness of the position light reduces the contrast of the turn signal. The Marker Light X module now offers an additional safety function by switching off the corresponding position light when the indicators are activated, allowing clear visibility of the turn signal for other road users. Marker Light X can also be used to permanently switch off the outer position lights. To do this, the module is installed between the BCM module or indicator relay and the position lights. In addition, Marker Light X can use the existing indicator system as a position light when not signalling. The brightness of the indicators can be set to 20% or 50% of maximum brightness when not in use.
