From the factory, this Feuling air cleaner is configured with OEM-style crankcase breathing, channelling into the intake with optimised vent hole locations to comply with emissions regulations. Race-only external venting to the atmosphere is available with the separate purchase of Feuling external breather kit 707101, which includes fittings, vent line and breather element. The backplate is engraved with the 'Made in USA' and 'Feuling' logos.
A great deal of testing and meticulous tuning went into the design of the direct-mount BA (Billet Aluminum) air filter, to create excellent performance (+500 to 595 CFM@28 on a SuperFlow SF600), all paired with the smallest possible dimensions. One-piece full forged aluminium cage; the included velocity dome is inserted, followed by the air filter element, after which the cover is fitted. This simple construction offers a very clean look and easy installation compared to many others. The velocity dome is used to lengthen the intake path and increase intake velocity to improve cylinder filling, especially mid-range performance, where most riding is done, and upward. Comes with a red high-flow, reusable, cotton-based, pre-oiled air filter element.
Note: The optional covers are available in unpolished polished aluminium, hard anodised black and chrome on a solid or clear (see-through) acrylic outer cover.
