Black. Designed for custom applications where 2 of these coils are used on bikes with twin-plug heads (4 spark plugs in total) running on a single-fire ignition system.
Note: It is recommended to use ignition modules and coils from the same manufacturer. Mixing different brands may cause premature failure.
Note: Difference between Single Fire and Dual Fire:
- Dual Fire - It is the way earlier engines, prior to the Twin Cam, operate. A single coil is used and both spark plugs fire simultaneously. This is the simplest system. The 'wasted' spark is said to reduce power.
- Single Fire - This is how stock Twin Cam engines from 00 onwards operate. Two separate coils fire the spark plugs independently and only the spark plug of the cylinder on the compression stroke is fired. These engines are said to vibrate less and may improve power. The effects will be more pronounced with more aggressive camshafts and higher RPM.
