Andrews, Big Twin camshaft gear. Oversize (yellow)

Yellow, large. Press-fit installation onto the camshaft. Used to correct the backlash between the cam sprocket wheel (on the cam) and the pinion (the smaller drive wheel). Excessive play will cause a clicking sound; insufficient play will cause a whining sound. To correct the play, you can use smaller or larger pinions, or smaller or larger Andrews cam sprocket wheels.
Note: See camshaft alignment pins 503768 (.108") and 503769 (.105") for measuring camshaft sprockets and pinions.
Note: To determine if you need a 70-E77 or L77-84 Shovel camshaft sprocket? Measure the outside diameter of the camshaft sprocket to be replaced. The 70-E77 cam will measure approx. 70mm. The L77-84 cam will measure approx. 69mm.
