'Type A' gasket. Standard diameter copper gasket, 3-1/2".
Explanation of the 'Type A' gasket: The 'Type A' gasket is the early type introduced on the 1984 Evolution Big Twin models, and can be used on all 84-99 Evo Big Twin models, fitting perfectly to the contour of the cylinder base. They fit 86-22 Evo XL models, but protrude at the cylinder base. Both 'A' and 'B' gaskets have an identical inner diameter, oil hole and bolt hole location. The gaskets for the front and rear cylinders are identical. The only difference between the 'A' and 'B' gaskets is the outer perimeter.
