Prevents the compensator sprocket assembly from coming loose. Peace of mind is key when building a high performance drivetrain. The Compensator Sprocket Lock Kit is now ready and available for selected Harley-Davidson motorcycles. This system positively locks the compensator sprocket so it cannot come loose. Rubber mounted engines can isolate the rider and chassis components from vibration, but the entire drivetrain, including the compensator sprocket, remains at risk of fasteners coming loose due to jolts. In addition, today's larger, more powerful engines can cause a lesser fastening system to loosen due to the large power pulses combined with the back-and-forth movement when accelerating and decelerating. Along with drive line security, the JIMS Compensator Sprocket Lock Kit keeps the alternator rotor in place to prevent damage to the charging system. This is not just an accessory for competition engines; stock bikes will also benefit from this upgrade to increase reliability and safety. Not suitable for old style compensators with the spring cup bonded to the rotor, or for the 2014 stock compensator.
