Red, standard size. Installed by pressing onto the camshaft. Used to correct the clearance (play) between the cam sprocket (on the camshaft) and the drive sprocket (the smaller transmission sprocket). Excessive clearance will cause a clicking sound; insufficient clearance will cause a buzzing sound. To correct the clearance, you can use smaller or larger drive sprockets, or smaller or larger Andrews cam sprockets.
Note: See camshaft gauges 503768 (.108") and 503769 (.105") for measuring the cam sprockets and drive sprockets.
Note: To determine whether you need a 70-E77 or L77-84 model Shovel cam sprocket? Measure the outside diameter of the cam sprocket on the camshaft to be replaced. The 70-E77 cam sprocket will measure approx. 70mm. The L77-84 cam sprocket will measure approx. 69mm.
