'Type A' gasket. Large diameter copper gasket 3-5/8".
Explanation of the 'Type A' gasket: The 'Type A' gasket is the old type introduced on the 1984 Evolution Big Twin models, and can be used on all 84-99 Evo Big Twin models, fitting the cylinder base contour perfectly. They fit 86-22 Evo XLs, but protrude at the cylinder base. Both 'Type A' and 'Type B' gaskets have identical inner diameter, oil hole and bolt hole locations. The gaskets for the front and rear cylinders are identical. The only difference between 'A' and 'B' gaskets is the outer perimeter.
