Standard cylinder: 3.4980" (88.85 mm) bore.
1st seal: 1.6 mm.
2nd washer: 1.6 mm.
Oil seal: 4.0 mm.
Technical tip: Piston grooves vs. piston rings.
It is not difficult to determine whether a Hastings piston ring set will fit a given piston. You must measure the piston groove height on the piston itself. The two upper grooves will be for the compression rings, the lower groove will be for the oil ring. In most cases, Hastings oil rings are the low-tension three-piece flex type. Ring heights are listed for reference.
Technical tip: Piston oversizes.
For each oversize, the cylinder diameter will increase by 0.010" (0.254 mm). The standard cylinder diameter is stated for reference.
