Descripción.

Single tower coil for 1 spark plug per coil, for single-fire ignition operation. Sold individually, 2 required. 3 ohm primary resistance for most electronic ignition systems using dwell control, such as the Dyna 2000i (Not for Dyna-S modules). 35,000 volt output. One of the smallest coils available. Ideal for customs where coils must be hidden. Overall dimensions 4.2" x 2.3" x 1.6" (10.7cm x 5.8cm x 4.1cm). Mounting hole distance 2.9" min. to 3.5" max. (7.3cm to 8.8cm).
Note: It is recommended to use ignition modules and coils from the same manufacturer. Mixing different brands may cause premature failure.
Note: Difference between Single Fire and Dual Fire:
- Dual Fire - This is how earlier, pre-Twin Cam engines operate. A single coil is used and both spark plugs fire simultaneously. This is the simplest system. The "wasted" spark is sometimes said to reduce power.
- Single Fire - This is how stock 00-up Twin Cam engines operate. Two independent coils fire the spark plugs and only the spark plug of the cylinder on the compression stroke is fired. These engines are said to vibrate less and can improve power. The effects will be more pronounced with more aggressive camshafts and higher RPMs.
