.030" MLS. Water- and oil-cooled heads must be plugged. No reliefs in the heads for the water or oil cooling ports, only for the cylinder and oil drain. Therefore, the heads must be plugged or welded in all cases.
Explanation of MLS (Multi Layer Steel): MLS consists of a top and bottom layer of embossed stainless steel, both faces coated with a 250°C resistant polymer rubber layer. The inner ring is also stainless steel. The gasket layers are riveted together, outside the gasket surface, for easier installation. The outer layers are embossed and both faces are coated with a 250°C resistant polymer rubber layer. MLS cylinder head gaskets eliminate the use of alignment pins and O-rings.
