'Type A' gasket. Copper gasket with standard 3-1/2" inner diameter.<br> Explanation of the 'Type A' gasket: The 'Type A' gasket is the old type introduced on the 1984 Evolution Big Twin models, and can be used on all 84-99 Evo Big Twins, fitting the contour of the cylinder base perfectly. They fit 86-22 Evo XL models, but protrude at the cylinder base. Both 'A' and 'B' gaskets have an identical inner diameter, oil hole and bolt hole locations. The gaskets for the front and rear cylinder are identical. The only difference between 'A' and 'B' gaskets is the outer perimeter.
