Standard cylinder bore: 3.75" (95.25mm).
1st ring: 1.5mm.
2nd ring: 1.5mm.
Oil seal: 3.0mm.
Technical tip: Piston grooves vs. piston rings.
It is not difficult to determine whether a Hastings piston ring set will fit a particular piston. You must measure the piston groove height on the piston itself. The top 2 grooves will be for the compression rings, the bottom groove will be for the oil ring. In most cases, Hastings oil rings are the low-tension 3-piece flexible type. Ring heights are listed for reference.
Technical tip: Piston oversizes.
For each oversize, the cylinder bore increases by .010" (0.254mm). The standard cylinder bore is stated for reference.
