ROCKER ARMS WITH ROLLERS FOR SHOVELHEAD BY S&S

The S&S rocker arms for Shovelhead share some features with S&S Evolution and Twin Cam style rocker arms. All rockers have been machined from 4140 forged steel and heat treated for maximum strength. The forgings are designed to eliminate stress points and guarantee the most durable rocker. The S&S Shovelhead-style rockers feature S&S's exclusive .750" long bushing, meaning 50% better load distribution than the original .500" one. The similarity with Evolution models is an oil passage through the rocker that allows tip lubrication through the pushrod when used together with S&S lifter guides and pushrods. Lubrication can also be done through the original Shovelhead system. The S&S Shovelhead rockers have a nominal ratio of 1.5:1, and precision CNC machining guarantees this ratio on all parts. Our experience shows that this ratio on original and replacement rockers can vary greatly. Some have less than the original 1.43:1 and others have more. The rollers on the tip reduce wear and deflection in high-lift applications. The S&S Shovelhead rockers are compatible with original Shovelhead-style rocker boxes or S&S billet ones. Some spacing may be necessary with the original boxes.
