Twin Cam engines generate a lot of noise inside the rocker cover. This is due to the way H-D designed the rocker installation. The bolt that secures the rocker arm shaft does not have a precise fit; when installed, it allows the shaft to rotate slightly back and forth inside the housing. There it strikes the rocker shaft bolt, producing the unnecessary clicking sound. This kit includes 4 precision tapered bushings that fit around the rocker shaft bolts when installed, eliminating shaft movement. It does not interfere with rocker operation. The kit includes a washer and nut for installation, as well as the tool needed to correctly align the rocker shaft before fitting the bushing. An experienced mechanic should be able to have the motorbike back on the road in approximately 3 hours.
Note: Compatible with aftermarket support plates. See 597708 for use with OEM style support plates.
Note: When rocker shafts require removal, a new Rocker Locker kit will be necessary.
