Green. Designed for custom applications where 2 of these coils are used on bikes with twin plug heads (4 spark plugs in total) running on a single-fire electronic ignition system.
Note: It is recommended to use ignition modules and coils from the same manufacturer. Mixing different brands may cause premature failure.
Note: Difference between Single Fire and Dual Fire:
- Dual Fire - This is how earlier engines, prior to Twin Cam, work. A single coil is used and both spark plugs fire simultaneously. This is the simplest system. The 'wasted' spark is said to reduce power.
- Single Fire - This is how 00-up stock Twin Cam engines operate. Two separate coils fire the spark plugs independently and only the spark plug of the cylinder on the compression stroke will fire. These engines are said to vibrate less and may improve power. The effects will be more pronounced with more aggressive camshafts and at higher RPM.
