Explanation of the innovative PCX™ technology from Vance & Hines: More power and less heat.
PCX™ (Power Chamber Exhaust) Technology is in fact chambered high-flow catalytic converters. They are used to increase mid-range torque for more responsive acceleration from a standstill. They are positioned downstream to reduce heat at the footboards/foot pegs by up to 20% and at the header by 50%, optimising rider comfort compared to the stock system.
PCX™ technology uses a high-flow dual-matrix catalyst that improves torque delivery through the mid-range for more responsive acceleration. All while producing a deeper, fuller roar, without compromising the style of any Vance & Hines exhaust system.
Technical tip: Pre-2021 US silencers on an EU 2021-24 Softail and Touring Gen1 EU 21-25?
The FuelPak FPX Tune (part number 724851) allows you to deactivate the second O2 sensor in the silencer or in the cross-section balance pipe, without triggering fault codes. This will allow you to use earlier model/US silencers that are not equipped with an O2 sensor connection.
