Dynatek, Dyna Miniature coil set. Twin tower, 12V, 3 ohm

Dual tower coil for 2 spark plugs per coil. Sold in pairs, for use on dual-plug heads (4 spark plugs in total) in Single Fire operation. 3 ohm primary resistance for most electronic ignition systems using dwell control, such as Dyna 2000i (Not compatible with Dyna-S modules). 35,000 Volt output. One of the smallest coils available. Ideal for custom bikes where coils must remain hidden. Overall dimensions 4.2" x 2.3" x 1.6" (10.7cm x 5.8cm x 4.1cm). Mounting hole distance 2.9" min. to 3.5" max. (7.3cm to 8.8cm).
Note: It is recommended to use ignition modules and coils from the same manufacturer. Using different brands may cause premature failures.
Note: Difference between Single Fire ignition and Dual Fire ignition:
- Dual Fire ignition - This is how earlier, pre-Twin Cam engines work. A single coil is used and both spark plugs fire simultaneously. This is the simplest system. The "wasted" spark is sometimes said to reduce power.
- Single Fire ignition - This is how 00 onwards stock Twin Cam engines operate. Two independent coils fire the spark plugs individually, and only the spark plug of the cylinder on the compression stroke is fired. These engines are said to vibrate less and may improve power. The effects will be more pronounced with more aggressive camshafts and at higher RPM.
