The Zeppelin e*spec tyre is a 27.5" rear tyre designed specifically for high-performance e-MTBs.
The demands of high-power e-bikes require a specific tread and casing design.
We designed the Zeppelin to offer great support volume, puncture resistance and increased contact surface, optimising technical climbing and improving braking. All this with lower rolling resistance, greater durability and easy tubeless installation with reliable air retention at low pressure.
Available in 27.5", the Zeppelin 2.7" is the perfect option for a mullet setup, paired with our Grappler or All Terrain tyres at the front.
The Zeppelin, with its large volume of 27.5” x 2.7", combines the advantages of 2.6 and 2.8, offering traction, smoothness, absorption and support of a wide tyre, whilst also allowing lower air pressures without losing stability.
The Zeppelin uses e*thirteen's Endurance compound, firstly for its 30% longer lifespan and exceptional durability, and secondly for its rolling efficiency, which reduces battery consumption.
The e*spec Zeppelin ENDURO is manufactured with a double-layer nylon casing with 120 TPI for greater flexibility and absorption, a full nylon breaker and Apex EN side reinforcement.
Large, angled central lugs, arranged in a paddle pattern, offer excellent traction on high-torque climbs, even on loose terrain.
The alternating arrangement of the central lugs improves load distribution, durability, self-cleaning and grip on slippery slabs and roots, maintaining traction on loose terrain. This configuration also provides a more predictable feel and consistent traction when transitioning from straight lines to aggressive corners.
The shoulder side knobs are heavily reinforced to withstand the cornering forces of heavier e-bikes. They feature horizontal upper grooves to maximise cornering grip and arched cut-outs with accordion-style side slots, which help control deformation and grip on uneven terrain such as rock gardens and root zones.
