Complete Carbonite® PowerPack® 'Maximum Effort' clutch kits with friction and steel plates. Developed to handle the power and torque of Big Inch / High Performance engines on today's streets. This Carbonite® clutch kit includes an additional friction plate and steel drive plate, increasing clutch area for greater holding capacity. The friction plates are coated with a 3M carbon-based material, capable of withstanding higher temperatures and offering a superior friction coefficient to any other currently available.
The steel drive plates are 'Performance Steel™', with an average roughness value (Ra) of just 2-10 micro inches. Conventional steels have an Ra value between 15 and 25 micro inches. A microscope will reveal fewer peaks and valleys in Alto's 'Performance Steel™'. This improves performance, durability, engagement and offers longer life and cooler operation.
