All shock absorbers are measured eye to eye.
A shock absorber slightly longer than stock may alter the steering angle and provide quicker steering.
A slightly shorter than stock shock can change the steering angle and make the steering somewhat slower.
Before buying or installing shock absorbers of a different length to the original, confirm that the wheel travel can be modified without clearance problems, such as contact between swingarm/axle and exhaust, or between chain/belt guard and tyre.
