Arlen Ness, Velocity 90° air filter kit for Sportster. Chrome

Chrome finish. A large filter surface is essential to maximise airflow through the filter. However, a huge filter was not viable; it had to be small and highly effective. This is where the Arlen Ness designers began their work. By adding the internal surface of the air cleaner to the external one, the filter surface is greatly increased. With the radius-integrated air intake, this air cleaner showed some of the highest flow rates ever tested by Ness. The finished look gives the air cleaner a very small, custom, attractive speed nozzle appearance that efficiently draws in air from all sides and also provides more leg room. The filter elements are made from synthetic material. They are water resistant, so a rain cover is generally not required. The filters are reusable; simply rinse, clean and refit. No oiling necessary.
Note: The breather design is O-ring sealed in the cylinder heads, passes through the backing plate and sits inside the throttle body/carburettor mouth. This eliminates external breather hoses so as not to detract from the clean look.
