Arlen Ness, Velocity 65° black air filter kit

It helps enormously, when trying to maximise airflow through a filter, to have a large filtering area. But building a huge filter was not viable; it had to be small and highly effective. This is where the Arlen Ness designers began. Adding the inner surface of the air cleaner to the outer surface adds a huge amount of filtering area. With the radio-integrated air intake, this air cleaner showed some of the highest flow numbers Ness has ever tested. The final appearance gives the 65° air cleaners a very small, bespoke and attractive intake manifold look that effectively draws in air from all sides. The filter elements are made of synthetic material. They withstand water; a rain sock is generally not required. The filters are reusable—simply rinse and refit. No oiling required.
Note: The breather design has an O-ring at the cylinder heads, passes through the backing plate and sits inside the mouth of the throttle body. This eliminates external breather hoses so nothing detracts from the clean look.
