The panel/cylindrical air filter is commonly known as a "replacement air filter". It is installed in the vehicle's original airbox to replace the OEM air filter. It is made from high-performance materials that allow greater air flow combined with more efficient filtration, guaranteeing the retention of all impurities from just 7 microns (compared to the OEM's 10 microns).
BMC air filters are produced using a "Full Moulding" system that allows the characteristic red filter to be made from a single mould with no welded joints, thus preventing easy breakage. The rubber used in BMC air filtration systems has a long service life, is very durable and has optimal adhesion characteristics to all airbox shapes.
BMC filters are made from multi-layer cotton gauze soaked in low-viscosity oil and covered with an epoxy-coated alloy mesh to guarantee protection against petrol fumes and oxidisation due to air humidity.
All BMC air filters come pre-oiled and can be washed and regenerated using the appropriate BMC regeneration kit.
