It is installed in the vehicle's original airbox to replace the OEM air filter. It is manufactured with high-performance materials that allow greater airflow combined with more efficient filtration, guaranteeing the retention of all impurities from just 7 microns (compared to the 10 microns of the OEM).
BMC filters are produced using a "full moulding" system that allows the characteristic red filter to be made from a single mould with no welded joints, thus avoiding easy breakage. The rubber used in BMC filtration systems has a long service life, is very durable and offers optimum adhesion characteristics to all types of airbox shapes.
BMC filters are made of multi-layer cotton gauze impregnated with low-viscosity oil and covered with an epoxy-coated alloy mesh to ensure protection against petrol fumes and oxidation caused by air humidity.
All BMC air filters come pre-oiled and can be washed and regenerated using the appropriate BMC regeneration kit.
