The panel/cylindrical type air filter is commonly known as a "replacement air filter". It installs into the vehicle's original airbox to replace the stock (OEM) air filter. It is made from high-performance materials that allow greater airflow combined with more efficient filtration, guaranteeing the retention of all impurities down to just 7 microns (compared to the 10 microns of the OEM filter).
BMC air filters are produced using a "full moulding" system that allows the characteristic red filter to be manufactured from a single mould with no welded joints, thus preventing easy breakage. The rubber used in BMC air filtration systems has a long service life, is highly durable and offers optimal adhesion characteristics to all shapes of airboxes.
BMC filters are composed of multi-layer cotton gauze impregnated with low-viscosity oil and coated with an epoxy-coated alloy mesh to guarantee protection against petrol fumes and oxidation caused by air humidity.
All BMC air filters come pre-oiled and can be washed and regenerated using the appropriate BMC regeneration kit.
