This kit is ‘universal’ and supplied with uncut cables at one end to trim to the required length. All connections are designed for secure fixing without soldering.
This throttle and idle cable kit includes threaded terminals for the throttle housing, designed to fit a wide range of models. The transparent PVC coating protects the braided 304 stainless steel inner cable, which is extra-long: 1,350mm (53 inches) with a 7.00mm outer diameter, allowing installation on motorcycles with high handlebars.
The included terminals comprise a fixed stepped ferrule with an 8.00mm outer diameter body and 5.50mm nose, and a selection of threaded ferrule curves with 1/4 inch x 20 UNC or 5/16 inch x 18 UNC threaded noses and 90° or 75° angles.
The cable (1.20mm wire) has a fixed spherical terminal with a 4.30mm outer diameter at one end and a loose adjustable barrel terminal with a 6.00mm outer diameter by 10.00mm, which is secured as required with a 1.5mm hex grub screw.
This kit also includes a small tube of adhesive to secure the sleeve terminals to the PVC coating.
