Akrapovic uses catalytic converters that offer all the sound and performance improvements you are used to from this brand's exhaust systems.
The catalyst itself consists of a honeycomb metal structure containing precious metals (palladium, rhodium and platinum) on its surface. These metals convert toxic carbon monoxide and unburnt hydrocarbons present in the exhaust gases into non-toxic carbon dioxide and water vapour.
