American Prime Mfg. Comp Master clutches are known as high-performance additions to your vehicle and are recommended by many top mechanics and builders, such as Kevin Baxter of Baxter's Garage. To further improve the Comp Master clutches, they analysed the aftermarket offerings of machined aluminium clutch shells and realised that, whilst they were an improvement over the original shell, they remained the weak link. A tremendous amount of force is exerted through the clutch, especially on a motorcycle with plenty of torque or, conversely, with a reckless rider! They determined they needed to create something that could withstand that extreme environment, so after much research and development with the aforementioned Kevin Baxter, together they designed what they believe is a shell as close to bulletproof as possible. Made from 7075 T6 aerospace-grade aluminium, which is as strong as steel but half the weight, and additionally hard-anodised. These shells are manufactured to ultra-tight tolerances that help stabilise the clutch and thereby reduce premature wear. Each basket comes with 6 screws and 3 locking clips.
