Cometic, MLS head gasket .040" diameter 4.320"

.040" MLS (Multi-Layer Steel). Made with embossing, exclusive to water-cooled heads. Can be used with a cylinder bore of up to 4.320" without modifications or plugging of the cooling channels in water-cooled heads. On oil-cooled heads, cylinder bores larger than 4.250" must always be plugged, as the oil cooling duct runs closer to the cylinder.
MLS (Multi Layer Steel) explained: MLS consists of a top and bottom layer of embossed stainless steel, with both faces coated with a high-temperature-resistant polymer rubber layer rated to 250°C. The inner ring is also stainless steel. The gasket layers are riveted together, outside the gasket surface, for easy installation. The outer layers are embossed and both faces are coated with a polymer rubber layer resistant to 250°C. MLS cylinder head gaskets eliminate the need for alignment pin O-rings.
