Explanation of MLS (Multi-Layer Steel): MLS consists of a top and bottom layer of stamped stainless steel, with both sides coated with a high-temperature resistant 250°C polymer rubber layer. The inner ring(s) are also made of stainless steel. The gasket layers are riveted together, outside the gasket surface, for easy installation. The outer layers are stamped and both sides coated with a 250°C-resistant polymer rubber layer. MLS cylinder head gaskets eliminate the use of guide pin O-rings, where these are in use.
