Cometic engine gasket kit, EST

This complete EST (Extreme-Sealing-Technology) gasket kit includes all the gaskets, seals and O-rings used on this model, including the primary gaskets. It is the easiest way to carry out a complete overhaul and have all the necessary gaskets in one package for engine reassembly.
This EST gasket kit contains .030" thick MLS (Multi-Layer-Steel) cylinder head gaskets, which eliminates the use of o-rings for dowel pins.
The base gaskets are .020" thick SLS (Single-Layer-Steel). They have .005" high-temperature Viton rubber on both sides and are the most durable on the market.
The rocker cover gaskets are also SLS, .020" thick. They do not leak, extrude, break or become brittle over time.
The exhaust gaskets do not obstruct exhaust gas flow or fray in the exhaust port.
The valve seals use Viton rubber and outer springs for a perfect seal.
- Explanation of MLS and RCM:
- MLS = Multi-Layer-Steel:
Consists of a top and bottom layer of spring stainless steel, covered with high-temperature rubber on both sides. The inner ring is also stainless steel. These 3-layer gaskets are riveted together, outside the gasket surface, for easy installation. MLS cylinder head gaskets eliminate the use of O-rings for guide pins.
- RCM = Metal recubierto de goma:
Consists of a top and bottom layer of spring stainless steel that helps prevent blow-out. This thin steel is covered with a heat-resistant Viton rubber layer on both sides. An additional layer of red silicone is added to improve sealing qualities. A very durable gasket that requires no retorquing.
