Cometic AFM gaskets feature an aluminium core and a thin layer of chemically compounded nitrile foam-type synthetic rubber, bonded to both sides. Resistant to temperatures above 250°F (122°C). AFM rubber has 85% recovery whilst maintaining strong torque retention. No re-tightening, gasket sealants or silicone beads required.
