3 Ohm primary resistance for use with electronic ignition systems. Delivers up to 50,000 Volts of energy.
Note: Difference between Single and Dual Fire:
- Dual Fire ignition - This is the operating mode of earlier engines, prior to Twin Cam. A single coil is used and both spark plugs fire simultaneously. This is the simplest system. The "wasted" spark is said to slightly reduce power.
- Single Fire ignition - This is the operating mode of stock Twin Cam engines from 2000 onwards. Two independent coils fire the spark plugs individually, with only the spark plug of the cylinder on the compression stroke being activated. These engines are said to vibrate less and may improve power. The effects will be more noticeable with more aggressive camshafts and at higher RPMs.
