The flash rate of a conventional relay is influenced by the electrical load; when a bulb blows, the rate increases, just as when switching from bulbs to LED indicators. The integrated circuit (IC) of this IC relay electronically switches the power output on and off, making the indicator flash rate completely independent of the type of lighting used or the electrical load.
