Evolution engines generate a lot of noise inside the rocker cover. This is due to the way H-D designed the rocker installation. The bolt that secures the rocker arm shaft does not have a precise fit; when installed, it allows the shaft to rotate slightly back and forth inside the housing. There it strikes the rocker arm shaft bolt, producing an unnecessary clicking sound. This kit includes 4 precision tapered bushings that fit around the rocker arm shaft bolts when installed, eliminating shaft movement. It does not interfere with rocker operation. The kit includes a washer and a nut for installation, as well as the tool needed to properly align the rocker arm shaft before installing the bushing. An experienced mechanic should be able to get the bike back on the road in approximately 3 hours.
Note: When the rocker arm shafts need to be removed, a new Rocker Locker kit will be required.
