Designed as a high-flow filter for road and competition use; this "DNA Stage 2 Adventure & Expedition Kit" replaces the restrictive BMW original air filter and plastic frame. Designed to sit lower than the original filter, it frees up the 2 air flow ducts that direct cool air from the front of the bike to the filter. By smoothly directing the incoming air into the lower airbox, we eliminate restriction and turbulence, improving torque and power. With an active filtering surface of 132,300 mm², this "DNA Adventure & Expedition Air Filter" offers 80% more filtering surface. 98-99% filtering efficiency, with 4 layers of DNA® cotton; Increased DNA air flow: 38.5%; DNA air filter flow: 181.40 CFM (cubic feet per minute) @1.5"H2O corrected @ 25°C; Original OEM filter: 131 CFM (cubic feet per minute) @1.5"H2O corrected @ 25°C
