Dynatek, Dyna Miniature coil set. Single tower, 12V, 0.5 ohm

Single tower for 1 spark plug per coil. Sold in pairs. Primary resistance of 0.5 ohms, designed for Twin Cam ignition systems that are designed to be used with low-resistance Twin Cam style coils. 40,000 volt output. One of the smallest coils available. Ideal for customs where coils must remain hidden. Overall dimensions 4.2" x 2.3" x 1.6" (10.7cm x 5.8cm x 4.1cm). Mounting hole distance 2.9" min. to 3.5" max. (7.3cm to 8.8cm).
Note: It is recommended to use ignition modules and coils from the same manufacturer. Mixing different brands can cause premature failure.
Note: The standard Twin Cam ignition is a single fire ignition system.
Note: Difference between Single Fire and Dual Fire:
- Dual Fire - It is the way earlier engines, prior to Twin Cam, operate. A single coil is used and both spark plugs fire simultaneously. This is the simplest system. The 'wasted' spark is said to reduce power.
- Single Fire - This is how 00-up Twin Cam engines operate as standard. Two separate coils fire the spark plugs independently and only the spark plug of the cylinder on the compression stroke will fire. These engines are said to vibrate less and may improve power. The effects will be more pronounced with more aggressive camshafts and higher RPM.
