Dynatek, Dyna Miniature coil. Single tower, 12V, 0.5 ohm

Single tower for 1 spark plug per coil. Sold individually; two required per engine. Primary resistance of 0.5 ohm, designed for Twin Cam ignition systems that are designed to be used with low-resistance Twin Cam style coils. 40,000 volt output. One of the smallest coils available. Ideal for customs where coils must be hidden. Overall dimensions 4.2" x 2.3" x 1.6" (10.7cm x 5.8cm x 4.1cm). Mounting hole distance 2.9" min. to 3.5" max. (7.3cm to 8.8cm).
Note: It is recommended to use ignition modules and coils from the same manufacturer. Mixing different brands can cause premature failure.
Note: The standard Twin Cam ignition is a single fire ignition system.
Note: Difference between single fire and dual fire ignition:
- Dual Fire - It is the way earlier engines, prior to Twin Cam, operate. A single coil is used and both spark plugs fire simultaneously. This is the simplest system. The 'wasted' spark is sometimes said to reduce power.
- Single Fire - This is how stock 00-up Twin Cam engines operate. Two independent coils fire the spark plugs individually and only the spark plug of the cylinder on the compression stroke will fire. These engines are said to vibrate less and can improve power. The effects become more noticeable with more aggressive camshafts and higher RPMs.
