These S&S flywheels feature a 5-piece design that is easily rebuilt with standard flywheel fittings and tools. Supplied balanced for use with original pistons. Unlike the OEM crankshaft on 2000-2003 models, these crankshafts have a separate sprocket shaft and pinion shaft, making a rebuild possible. Another great advantage is that installation requires the use of the pinion gear, oil pump drive gear on the pinion shaft and 1986-1987 style nut. These have proven to be much stronger than the OEM design used from 1988 onwards. The crankshafts are ready to install and balanced by S&S for use with common 1200cc pistons. Ideal for engine rebuilds and new builds.
