From the factory, this Feuling air filter is configured with OEM-style head breathing, channelling into the intake with optimised vent hole locations to meet emissions regulations. Race Only external venting to the atmosphere available with the separate purchase of the Feuling 707101 external breather kit, which includes 1/2-13 breather screw fittings, vent line and breather element. Compatible with Mikuni HSR42/45 with adaptor plate. Not compatible with Keihin butterfly or S&S carburettors. The back plate is engraved with the 'Made in USA' and 'Feuling' logos.
Note: For 84-92 Evo B.T. models with the stock crankcase breather, the Feuling 5100 5/16-18 breather bolt kit must be purchased.
A great deal of meticulous testing and tuning went into the direct-mount BA (CNC-machined aluminium air filter) design, to create excellent performance (+500 to 595 CFM@28 on a SuperFlow SF600), all combined with the smallest possible dimensions. One-piece full CNC-machined aluminium cage, the included velocity stack is inserted, followed by the air filter element, after which the cap is fitted. This simple construction offers a very clean look and easy installation compared to many others. The velocity stack is used to lengthen the intake path and increase intake speed to improve cylinder filling, especially mid-range performance, where most riding is done, and upwards. Comes with a red high-flow, reusable cotton-based air filter element, pre-oiled.
Note: The optional covers are available in unpolished raw aluminium, hard anodised black and chrome, with a solid or transparent (see-through) acrylic outer cover.
