Footrest adapter that allows the installation of all traditional rider footrests with standard male H-D mount. Recent Sportster models with forward controls, such as the XL1200C (Custom), X (Forty-Eight) and V (Seventy-Two), are fitted with a different style of rider footrest, which does not accept this traditional male H-D mount footrest. This conversion kit allows the reuse of all traditional male H-D mount footrests, so virtually all custom footrests will fit.
Note: If converting standard forward controls to extended ones, a longer gear shift linkage rod (10-1/4" in length) is also required. We recommend using the 2" extension 968028 or 541485 together with the original linkage rod.
