Footpeg adapter that allows the fitting of all standard rider footpegs with the 'traditional male H-D' mount. Late-model Sportsters with forward controls such as the XL1200C (Custom) X (Forty-Eight) and V (Seventy-Two) are equipped with a different style of rider footpeg, which does not accept this rider footpeg with the 'traditional male H-D' mount. This conversion kit allows the reuse of all standard rider footpegs with the 'traditional male H-D' mount, so virtually all custom footpegs will fit.
Note: If converting standard forward controls to extended ones, a longer gear shift link rod (10-1/4" in length) is also required. It is suggested to use the 2" extension 968028 or 541485 together with the original link rod.
