This 'Long Kit' increases ride height by 2" (51mm) for improved road grip and ground clearance in aggressive cornering.
Additionally, longer than stock fork tubes are required to install this extra long cartridge kit.
The standard spring rate 'up to 240 lbs (109 kg)' springs included in this kit provide a good set-up for a bike that carries a pillion passenger occasionally. This fork cartridge kit is compatible with OEM components to maintain the original look. Tuned to improve rider comfort and cornering control. Includes velocity-sensitive closed cartridge damping and linear spring rates.
The opposed piston design creates a sealed system that prevents air from mixing with the oil (aeration, which affects damping as air is compressible), guaranteeing consistent damping control throughout the entire travel. The cartridge and spring kits feature linear rate springs that provide uniform support along the fork's travel, preventing dive under braking and walling in corners. Furthermore, the cartridge's spring-loaded top piston smoothly absorbs even the smallest imperfections, unlike gas-charged designs that can cause internal friction and a harsher travel. These combined features offer a silky travel, unaffected by twisting bends.
Note: With this raised height fork cartridge kit, you will need fork tubes 2" longer (24-7/8").
