Standard cylinder diameter: 3.937" (100mm).
1st ring: 1.2mm.
2nd ring: 1.2mm Oil ring: 2.0mm Stock replacement for 107" models. Includes a chrome-plated top ring, a ductile iron Napier 2nd ring and a flexible 3-piece oil ring with chrome-plated venting.
Technical tip: Piston grooves vs. piston rings.
It is not difficult to determine whether a Hastings piston ring set will fit a given piston. You must measure the piston groove height on the piston itself. The two upper grooves will be for the compression rings, the lower groove will be for the oil ring. In most cases, Hastings oil rings are the low-tension 3-piece flex type. Ring heights are listed for reference.
Technical tip: Piston oversizes.
For each oversize, the cylinder diameter increases by .010" (0.254mm). The standard cylinder diameter is given for reference purposes.
