Overvoltage indicator

A faulty voltage regulator can be costly and damage certain electrical components on the motorcycle; a lithium battery overheating beneath the seat or a lead-acid battery leaking due to overvoltage are far from ideal... This module allows the two indicator light outputs and/or the LED output to function as an overvoltage indicator, according to personal preference. In most cases, battery voltage rises gradually with a faulty regulator, providing ample time to switch off the engine and ignition. This is where the overvoltage indicator proves useful. Once the on-board voltage exceeds 15.1 volts for more than 2 seconds, a warning flash function activates via the two indicator light outputs, and the additional LED output illuminates. In most cases, switching off the engine immediately is sufficient to prevent further damage. Under-voltage detection is also integrated. If battery voltage drops below 12.1 volts due to a faulty regulator, with remaining capacity between approximately 0% and 20% depending on battery type, the indicators flash briefly every 2 seconds, warning that the engine will most likely stall within the next 10–30 minutes as the battery becomes fully discharged. There is still sufficient time to pull over safely. If the battery is nearly discharged after winter, the indicator may remain illuminated for 1–2 minutes after starting.
