With integrated thermostatic valve for precise cooling, properly matched to the engine's needs. This 566635 oil filter adapter is an optional part designed to work with spin-on oil filters mounted on the front of the engine. It provides easy access to the oil lines for installation of an oil cooler on Sportster and Big Twin Evo models (excluding fuel-injected Evos). The adapter allows oil to flow through the filter before entering the cooler, resulting in less restriction.
Note: See 970717 for the upgrade nut, required for adaptor 566635 when used with S&S engines.
